Stefan had arrived a few days before. As far as he could tell there was already a group of -- settlers here. Settlers was a poor choice of word. It seemed as if several people had been displaced, including copies of one man. But, he hadn't made direct contact. He had been sticking to the forest, to the rabbits, even a deer. Once he learned Elena wasn't there - his goal was to get back to Mystic Falls. Unfortunately, no matter how far he sped he never hit real civilization. It was as if magic was keeping them in the valley.

The familiar scent was what got his attention outright.

Elena.The last thing he remembered, Caroline had been turned into a vampire. He had saved her life. He wondered how long he'd been gone. But, all of that didn't matter as much as the fact that Elena was now where he was. Feet away even

When she first heard her name, she thought that maybe she was starting to hear things, or hoping too much. It's hard to believe that he would actually be there, because honestly -- what would the odds be. It was just hope and the heat.

But she turned anyway, in the direction of the sound on instinct, and there he was.

"Stefan?"

Stefan closed the distance between them, his hands coming to her shoulders. Yes, this was Elena. He was standing before her.

"Elena," he looked behind them. He couldn't help his paranoia. "Are you all right?"

Yes, this was Stefan. This was Stefan and he was there, which wasn't making very much sense to her at the moment, but for now, she was just glad she wasn't alone. She took that step past his hands on her shoulders and wrapped her arms around him.

"I was just walking in my house and then all of the sudden I was here, and I couldn't call anyone or get any signal at all."

So, to sum up, yes, Stefan. Aside from being very confused, she's just fine.
