win some, lose some - part one: june

Glee. 7,190 Words. Noah Puckerman; Puck/Rachel. I don't know if I should admit this, but the whole premise for this fic was born from me listening to too much Robbie Williams while writing A Chance to Make It Good Somehow and getting inspired by his song, Win Some, Lose Some. The summer after Puck's Junior year, told in three parts. This is June.

The hummingbird description is perfect for how I would imagine Rachel in the summer with this group. I love that you gave a reason for these two to interact, unlike so many stories where they're so OOC and friends for no reason. Cannot wait to read the next two parts, excellent story!

Thanks so much! Yeah, it's also hard for me to suspend reality for the stories that just thrust characters together with no real motivations behind their actions, other than hooking up of course LOL. Plus, I don't know, I sorta like the build up. I guess it's sorta become my M.O., but I find the whole idea of a friendship between Puck and Rachel to be kind of fascinating in and of itself. They're clearly such polar opposites, but I think as individuals (beyond superficial aspects of their personalities), they actually have a lot in common. Guess I didn't really explore that side of things as much here, but it's definitely something that keeps the whole friendship angle fresh for me.

Anyway! I'm yapping your ear off so I'll stop and just say thanks one last time for taking the time to leave such nice feedback! Hopefully I'll see you around come part two.

I love this. I love this so much.

I effing LOVE BAM BAM and all the band members.

My favorite moment has to be this:
Rachel gasps, her eyes wide in shock. “Noah Puckerman, you can’t use that kind of language around the children.”

“Bitch, gimme my pizza!” One of Sarah’s male friends calls out, and Puck almost dies laughing.

KIDS DO THIS ALL THE TIME and it legit made me lol irl. :D

This is just great.

OKAY ALL THE BAM-BAM LOVE IS SENDING ME OVER THE MOON WITH JOY. As a reader, I tend to be wary of original characters, so it makes me SO HAPPY people are giving him a chance and loving him for the Zen master he is.

As always, thanks a million for taking the time to read and review! Feedback make the world go 'round! And helps even more with WIPs to know what works and what doesn't. Can't wait to write the rest and share it with y'all!

Bb you know I love this, I've told you as much!

And I can't believe you've managed to put out such good stuff so soon! You shame me! Anyways, fantabulous job, I love it.

And my favorite bit remains:

Sandy bats her eyes and blows him a kiss, clearly pleased with herself as she skips back to her friends.

“Fuck¸” Puck rumbles to himself as he turns back to the game.

“Women,” the kid next to him mutters, rolling his eyes.

I love that kid!

GURL, I'm gonna take a risk here for I know this will sound like a giant Glee cliche but IDGAF...

MY LIFE. IT WOULD SUCK WITHOUT YOU.

<3

I want Puck to be that kid's BFF, for real. He has him on speed dial in his phone-- calls him up whenever he needs ~srs advice~. LOL.
