She makes a snuffling sound of displeasure at the screen before getting up, walking around the 'Gear and picking it up to reveal a very, very large pile of snow not far from the beach of Goldenrod City. You can see a bike on its side with one wheel still spinning

They certainly are! They don't have proper friction on the tires for multiple terrain! Considering how expensive they are, you would think the manufacturer would be able to account for a little ice.

They cost P1000, and I certainly will lodge a complaint. They should at least come with a manual that's a bit bit more than "select from your inventory to use".
