It took a year for you to get one level 100?

[Pardon Riku if he looks a little... amused.]

It's a pretty huge accomplishment, but I've got more than ten 100s.

[Yep. Time to be a buzz kill.]

[You get a smile, but France is definitely narrowing his eyes a bit at you.]

I'm a breeder, not a trainer. We have other priorities than simply battling.

[Huh, well that explains a thing or two.]

Right, right. Forgot that some people focus on eggs more than training.

[Shrug.]

Still, why a holiday?

[France nods sagely even though he hasn't done much breeding recently at all.]

Bringing new life into the world is a most important calling.

[He grins widely.]

It's a milestone event! A holiday should always be in order to celebrate the beauty of life!

Don't tell me you've already got a celebration planned out. Is that what you've been up to all this time?

[France chuckles lightly and makes a leisurely shrug.]

Oh, perhaps, perhaps. I have only the vague idea in my head, ready to take root and blossom, should the atmosphere be proper.

The way you were going on, I thought it already had blossomed. [Not at all finding it strange that he can understand Francis' weird analogies now.]

[France grins, a mischievous light in his eyes.]

Perhaps, perhaps, but even after blossoming, there is a bit of time before beauty can come to fruition.

Congratulations. Evolving and reaching the highest level possible are always great occasion to celebrate.

[Said with little energy, but with obvious sincerity.]

[France beams.]

It most certainly is!

[France pauses, noticing Cecil's tone belatedly. He backtracks a bit.]

How have you been, Cecil?

How far are the others from the great milestone?

[He pauses for a few seconds before tackling the second question.]

I'm as well as can be expected. I've spent the last day or so easing my new Pokémon into the team; it's reduced my hours of sleep.

Congratulations but I got to say making it a national holiday is a bit much.

[France laughs merrily.]

Of course not! It's an excellent reason for a holiday; I am the Republic of France, after all.

I'll have to your word for it since I'm not a country. Though that begs the question what do you do on your new holiday.

[France shrugs leisurely, his expression delusional fanciful.]

Sleep in, eat good food, perhaps have a festival with dancing and fireworks. Composers would put together symphonies to commemorate the day, and the air would be full of love and good will!

[And here's Envy making his way over with an easy grin on his face, followed by Chimera. France isn't difficult to find with that Charizard out.]

A national holiday, huh?

[Chimera, meanwhile, goes to greet the others. He's familiar enough with Marianne to be a little bit cautious, but it's difficult to put a damper on his friendliness.]

[Maybe that Louis should become a homing beacon for France. It would probably make Envy's life much easier.]

[France throws his arms around Envy, hugging him close with great affection.]

Of course! In honor of the great beauty this France has bestowed upon this place!

[Marianne gives Chimera a look, although it's not quite as grouchy as it normally is. Louis, however, steps up, ready to challenge Chimera. Another lizard?! Become subordinate before this Charizard!]

[Well, a giant orange dragon would make an awesome homing beacon. At any rate, Envy is appreciative of the sudden hug and leans into it, having long gotten accustomed to receiving them. He looks amused, laughing a little.]

I'm starting to see why people seem to have so many holidays. What're you going to call it?

[Chimera notices that Marianne isn't as grouchy towards him, and gives her a toothy sort-of-smile. He's used to dealing with his own trainer, so less grouchy is positive! To Louis, though, he looks confused and lowers his head. He doesn't mind being subordinate, he doesn't want to pick a fight and nobody's in danger, but why so aggressive? He just wanted to say hello. D:]

[France is so glad that Envy has become accustomed to his hugs! He doesn't expect Envy to become a hugger himself, but the joy of hugs is giving them out, really, and France does love to give them to those he loves. He leans appreciatively against Envy.]

Oh, I don't know quite yet. It needs to have a proper ring to it, the right amount of inspirational emotion...

[Marianne inclines her head slightly to Chimera, as close to a friendly acknowledgement as he'll probably ever get out of her. Louis, on the other hand, gives Chimera a considering look. So easily submitting? Well, this one must be really weak! Louis kind of wanted a fight, but he's not one to pick meaningless battles. He takes a few steps towards Chimera, opening his wingspan to show off be as imposing as possible, demanding that Chimera state his business.]
