Unlike any temporal shift he'd ever experienced, a seamless alteration of physicality, while his mental faculties-- such as they were, had remained entirely intact. He was a woman, though undoubtedly still quite the same person he'd always been, which was utterly extraordinary.
After dressing himself, his trousers and sweater ill-fitting, he'd hurried to the lab, wanting to draw an immediate blood sample.
Now, humming happily to himself while he prepared a slide, he looked up when a young girl wandered in, struck by the feeling that he'd seen her once before, though the memory was just out of reach.
"Hello, my dear!" he boomed cheerfully, his voice feminine, though it managed to retain something undeniably Walter.
Olivia stood in the doorway, wary of the woman at first. But she looked like she wanted to help, even if she was dressed strangely, and she walked a few steps into the room, looking around curiously.
"Hi, I'm...I'm looking for Doctor Walter Bishop. Do you know if he's here?"
"Well, then, you are in luck," Walter said, then, with a gleam in his newly feminine eyes, he said, "Contrary to all currently visible evidence, I am Dr. Walter Bishop. So, tell me, what can I do for you?"

Olivia clung to the concrete wall, her fear growing again. "Doctor Walter's a man, you're not Doctor Walter. Where am I?"
