I can't believe nobody commented as this looks like your most appealing best best of lists in the time I've known you.

I just downloaded your list, so Danke im Voraus, as they say.

excuse me, your mix. A little tired, this one.

As you can see, some of the stuff on my "best albums" list has already changed, but I hope you enjoy the mix.

You came up to Montreal for the Festival TransAmériques?

Yes, it was a very nice mix. I went for Festival TransAmériques and also went for all of two hours for dinner at La Fabrique Annexe on a seperate trip in which I only had time for a quick stop. I don't know much about the restaurants there but I also liked L'Express.

Now I'm listening to Mark Ronson and reading Nixonland.

The Weeknd! I really need to get on board with Zola Jesus. Also: I need to check out that Tim Hecker album.

Why was the Godspeed show so bad?

They played for two fucking hours. (It would have been great if they'd played half as long.) I thought it would never end, like in The Exterminating Angel by Bunuel, and we'd all end up killing and eating each other. Funnily enough, because of that, the closest thing I can compare it to is the Kylie Minogue concert, except that one was also a capitalistic ritual, which made it slightly more intriguing.

If I had bothered to write something, I would have said that The Weeknd makes pop music that actually sounds as depressing as the superficial lifestyle it's promoting, and that that's refreshing.
