Top Five Favorite Stories

Post a list of your top five favorite fics you've written, regardless of fandom or the reason you love them. This isn't about the BEST things you've written, but what you LOVE most. Then tag five other people to do the same. (I'm not going to tag anyone, but I'd love to see all my friends do this!)

SOMETHING NUCE FOR HARRIET. I love that one.

:D Thank you! I was re-reading it this afternoon; it's technically abominable. POV switches, pacing, formatting -- but it's also somehow still as perfect an homage to the Bug Van as I could've conceived of. It still warms my heart.

whoops forgive my weird typo when I was on my phone!

I also love And the Toast Isn't Even Warm.

All of your bug van fic warms my heart. Switek/Zito are the schmoopiest ship.

Thank you!! I need to write more Tickfic. There's got to be all this serious tension between May and Die Fledermaus, along the lines of if he hurts Stinky in any way, May's going to break her oath to The City and beat Maus to death with his own codpiece. There's probably a top 10 list of things she wants to say to him but has to refrain from doing so.

"Miami Vice: even our shmoopiest ship ends badly."

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoy the fics. I hadn't read Sneaking Out in ages, right up until I was looking through fics for this meme. I'd forgotten how much I enjoy it. It hits all my tickle-spots. And regardless of how gen Harriet is, it's just so *warm*.

I still can't get over that there is a Riptide story about the characters as glow-worms. And it is glorious! And it is in character and everything!

Seriously, one of the top contenders for Your Finest Hour :-)

Thank you!!! I love the glow-worm Nick & Cody. They have no way of ever not being them.

Oh I don't even cope with the favorite books question anymore. It's so overwhelming! I mean, I could just point to what's currently on my GR favorites shelf, but other than that I might have to go with, "Meet my living room..." (Nb: probably 2K books in the living room. I have a very patient partner)

ETA: Now I'm wondering whether there really are fully 2K books in that room. I suspect I'm going to get all obsessive and have to count them to be sure....

If you do count, let me know :) I have gone there. Actually, about once a year-ish I try to count all the books in my room, just to see what I am up to. Last count was 800ish for me and 150ish for my sister (who shares the room). But that was a while ago, so I bet my now we have 1000 between us :)

I don't know if there's an active group in your area, but over here there's a very active freecycle chapter, which is where people post offers of things they're trying to get rid of. And for some reason, people round here love to get rid of books in large quantities ( ... )
