Anya was having such a nice dream. There were fields for some reason, and she was frolicking in them. Had he been taken to another time? The jungles were not familiar, but perhaps he had returned to where Ayla had come from. Glad to have his sword by his side, in the sheath attached safely to his hip as it always was, he stood and drew it.

He did not have his armor, but that hardly mattered. He took the steps to go between Anya and the beast, and it let out a terrible roar. If it wasn't agitated before, it certainly was now. He had to wait, though, for that opening he needed. There were only a few spots the lizards seemed to be considered weak areas, and since he did not have Crono with his lightning, he would have to do it the hard way.
"Flee to the bushes, m'lady," he warned, just as the lizard let out another roar. He could see it was preparing to strike, and the sooner it was just him in the line of fire, the better.

Still, she at least managed to grab the nearby rocks, and a stout looking stick, ignoring her cuts and scrapes and the pain in her ankle. If she needed to attack this thing again, she would.
