Didn't have time last night, but...

SQUEEEEEEE

Lair of the Shadow Broker was fucking awesome.  My vanguard at level 30 had such a tough time with the bosses though.  OMG.  There is no way that I'll be able to beat it on hardcore.  I was only playing on Veteran. D:

Took forever to download.

That is all.  Back to work.

liara t'soni, mass effect, gaming

I did it on hardcore with my Sentinel (captain Insanity!) and it was a challenge. Having access to the assault rifle probably saved my hide, as well as my beloved Tech Armor.

Liara's Stasis was fun, though. Good crowd control.

I love Vanguard... but on higher than normal difficulty, she's weaker. Charge only really works on red health bars.

Liara's powers were awesome (once I figured out that I had to level her up -.-)

Charge worked well on Vesir (after whittling down her shields). I'd charge, shoot and she'd get out of the way long enough charge again. I wish I had taken either Garrus, Grunt or Zaeed with me for that fight though. Jack was merely a meat shield.

Shadow Broker was awesome too. The DA:O animations made me laugh, but why re-write something they've already got, right? Was it just me or did he look familiar? I've seen something similar to him, and I can't place it.

My next playthrough I'll be going as either my infiltrator or soldier on hardcore. I haven't finished my playthrough with a sentinel and I've given up on my adept at anything other than casual (she wasn't an import anyway).

Yeah, on Hardcore Vesir has armor too. So there's a long period of fighting when charge would be useless, especially since it would place you right in her face so she can shotgun it off. As a Sentinel I was constantly trying to create distance, not close it. Heheh. I had Garrus with me most of the time.

I wonder if SB was designed by the ogre artist. The twisted horns definitely stand out. He's got the same bulk as a YMIR, too. So I bet they went for the same rig. Ogres are lankier, but the YMIR has SB's stubby legs.

Still, I thought it was neat that he was a new species. I think I would have been disappointed of he was an AI or a Reaper. Feels too obvious. The punch-up was rather fun, too. Shepard's gotta sock a bitch!

Absolutely! So cool it was a new species. It was a very pleasant surprise. I love the added dossier on how he took over.

I wondered about the ogre artist too. The spider/Sarlaac-face creeped me the hell out (I know I've seen that face somewhere-nightmare maybe). The stubby legs and YMIR chicken walk just about killed me. <3 Then he charged. I couldn't appreciate it until after the fight. (Whole time I was going: My two WORST ENEMIES ALL-IN-ONE!!! FFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUU-)

I'm so sorry. When will you get to play it?

Oh, I have no idea yet. Right now I can't do anything about it. But please, for the love of God, feel free to spoiler it! I love minor spoilers, they make the taste last longer! ^_^'

LOL

There is one part that I wish I had not been spoilered on because it made making choices difficult when I knew what was going to happen, but oh well. Couldn't be helped. When I found out, I didn't think anything of it until I was actually playing going, "well, damn, should have stayed away from the comm until I played." :p
