Whoa. Just...whoa. This is note-perfect, I don't know what to say or take note of, except everything. The details of the future, how the Hanged Man leaves the room, the faint hope at the end.

I'm glad you liked it, and that the future aspect worked for you. I was catching up on my Stross and Moriarty and Doctorow when I started it, and it was getting hard to imagine the present. ;)

(I do wish we'd gotten more info on the Hanged Man - I was making all sorts of guesses, and now I'll be somewhat disconsolate when his backstory is finally written.)
