Fic: So Dawn Goes Down. [DCU/Good Omens]

Jan 13, 2007 17:56

(One of my 2007 resolutions is to catch up, at least a little, on the masses or request fic I owe people. This isn't *technically* part of that compaign.)

thefourthvine wanted to know how Tim Drake and Adam Young knew each other, and I got a little bit carried away.

Many thanks to petronelle for help with cleaning duties.

So Dawn Goes Down )

crossover fic, fic, good omens fic, babs fic, dcu fic, tim drake fic

::bounces up and down:: Little boy Tim! He must have been cuteness personified skipping stones and stuff! ::dies of cute::

And And at the same time, there's something nagging in the back of Tim's mind that, yes, there are people who are probably very impatient for Tim to check in with them, and that one of them is *Tim*. made me crack up! Heh.

This was fun and I love the image of him taking Cass back with him :)

:D Thanks! I doubt Tim's ever gotten the chance to run wild with a pack of kids. Which is a tragedy, you know?
and that one of them is *Tim*. made me crack up! Heh. I don't think he'd be *Tim* if he didn't know on some level that things were just a little bit wrong....

*pats him fondly*

Very nice. Loved Brian winning and everyone (even muggers) being Secretly Batman!

*waves wildly at you* Hey!

Thanks! I imagine kids in England must be under the impression that everyone in America *does* wear spandex under their clothes... and not for the reasons the adults are. ;p

OMG this is wonderful - the eternal boy and the one who never really got a chance to be a boy, and the perfect contrast between Gotham and Lower Tadfield.

Wow.

*g* I'm really glad you liked it. It was one of those stories that pretty well knew where it wanted to go. So props for the fun prompt. :)

And Tim is *such* a city boy!

Okay, when I was linked to this fic, I thought, "Ha! Perfect! What a contrast!" but I never expected anything like this. You've got the tones of both universes down so, so well - especially Them, of course - and, oh, Timmy.

I think the best crossovers are the ones which are not only great stories in their own right, but which bring out new things to think about for both fandoms, and you've succeeded admirably. Thank you!

Wow, thanks! That's a great compliment.

And I have a lot of fun writing the Them's antics, so it's great to know that it works. *grins*

Wow, this made me feel sort of tight in the chestal area. Tim didn't lose his childhood, it was just sort of displaced.

:D

Yes, you never think to look for these sorts of things in small British locales, do you?

(*reconsiders* At least, not until you're at *least* 40 and the red convertable already failed to fill the empty hole in your life...)
