Rewards of the lower level monsters can be kept to yourself; hunting on the upper level is recommended to be done in groups or pairs, and valueable drops of those monsters will be stored in the headquarters for further examination.

You can find the headquarters near the hospital and the big building known as Riget. It's hard to miss, really. If you do need directions, ask Lavi, since you seem to be acquainted with him.
