Photos: painted t-shirts and Laurel wearing one.

I don't like the price of new decorated children's shirts, so I bought a half-dozen plain shirts to embellish. I'm still finishing up the ruffly girls' shirts with cross-stitch, but I've finished the plain t-shirts with Sesame Street characters.

Three painted t-shirts and Laurel wearing one; four images, 209 kb total )

Thank you. I hope the color doesn't fade too quickly; we bought the fabric markers for painting a pair of shoes that have never really gotten wet and never been washed, so I don't know how the paint holds up yet.

If you think the painting looks nice (I like how the pictures came out, but I don't entirely like the shirts up close), you should see kids' shirts with embroidery and stuff on them. I think those are beautiful!

And you were amazed to be #1 in the compatibility quiz, Ms. Martha Fuckin' Stewart-Clone!

Wow. I wish I could do something like that. I can't do anything crafty. lol At my mom's summer camp last year the kids were making something (I don't remember what) and I was in charge of hot gluing and I accidently hot glued a kid. Hehe.
