I know I shouldn't be surprised by your posts anymore, but you own Veganomicon? I went cookbook shopping a couple of weeks ago out of frustration and financial annoyance at the Lizard's choice of a vegetarian lifestyle (I don't mind that she's veg, but my budget and her brother grow weary of the amount I spend on prepared food for her). Veganomicon looked great, but not as newb friendly as I needed. I ended up grabbing Vegan Planet and Starving Student's Vegetarian.
