One thing I like about traditional needlepoint is that it stitches up much faster than cross-stitch or petit-point, both of which I love but sometimes I want a quicker project.

While I don't think I'll be stitching anything from Rosey Grier's Needlepoint for Men, that samurai is pretty badass.

Hey! I got the shirt at Don't Panic! in New York City. I'm not sure what else they sell....

Thank you!

Cafe Press carries dog shirts in a variety of sizes, so I'm looking for a rainbow design available on a dog t-shirt that's just right for my Fender-kitty. Right now I really like this rainbow paw shirt. Hee.

Rosie Grier is responsible for the capture of Sirhan Sirhan, you know.
That and my dad knew him.

Your dad knew Rosey Grier or Sirhan Sirhan?

While we're on the topic of RFK, my dad was a campaign volunteer and reportedly shook his hand the day he died. (When I found this out, I told Dad not to shake my hand if I ever ran for political office.)

My dad was a sportswriter, so he knew Grier.
He knew a LOT of football players, especially from back in those days (the late Sixties and early Seventies.)

Ah.

It seems like all my LJ friends have these fascinating family members. I just have a bunch of clowns!
