Angry Laurel cuts her own hair. Film at 11.

Dec 20, 2006 16:35

Laurel has spent most of the afternoon alternately grumbling and crying over her perception that someone was being really mean to her by canceling our flight this afternoon. She talked to my mom and sister about the weather there and we watched a news segment on it too, but with overcast weather here in the 60s she's just not grasping it. I finally ( Read more... )

Oh for short hair. You should probably take a picture just for posterity. I chopped my hair ridiculously short once, because I didn't want my grandma cutting it (she would have given me a bowl cut). I looked like a boy for three months.

I had a pixie crop one summer and did get mistaken for a boy several times.

I've taken before and after pictures I'll post before we leave on vacation. I keep giggling every time I look at her head on.

Aww! Yes, definitely take a picture. It's so cute when they do that, but at the same time, if I were a parent I'd be miffed. I have a picture of me after I chopped my bangs off.

Crystal did that at the tender age of 3. Her hair STILL hasn't grown out right. (She's six and a half now.) But she took the middle of her hair and cut it not her bangs. I also know a girl at the dance studio who at the age of 13 thought it would be super cool to hole punch her hair. Only the hole didn't stay in her hair. It just cut it. *nods* Moron. But I love Bailley and I've known her since she was in her mommy's belly so I can call her a moron.

Man... it so wasn't worth it... all she had to look forward to was sitting in the airport and wishing that somebody'd shuttle her around on a snowmobile...

Sitting at DEN would be fun for her since she'd theoretically get to see my brother-in-law. She loves the crap out of him.

Once I heard from him about the weather there, I immediately called the airline to adjust our itinerary because if we went ahead to the airport I'd have to cough up $30-40 to take the Super Shuttle home. The bus is an option, but a big PITA to wrangle Laurel and all our luggage through a couple of connections.

Heh, I did that when I was a kid. I was trying to grow out my bangs and they got long, and I got annoyed with them. My parents were furious. The pictures from that time are hilarious in retrospect. I didn't realize it was so common!
