Relationship-ish stuff: draft of visitation agreement for 27JUL-6AUG2004.

The DFW-DEN flight was uneventful beyond free in-seat TV programming and Laurel peeing through her Pull-Up. (I changed her pre-boarding, it apparently wasn't enough!). She's been with me at my parents' since and happy as a bug ( Read more... )

Thanks. I was going for boilerplate so there's less for him to question.

for legal cover if he tries to take off with her

Off the wall idea here, but since abducting the child is already a criminal offense, perhaps having him sign something that would guarantee you a large sum of money should he try to take off with the child be in order to add a a civil suit (read: walk in the park) on top of the shit he'd be in anyway.

P.S.

I understand there is no price tag you can put on the child, but the financial obligations on top of criminal charges would perhaps serve as an exrta incentive for him not to fuck with you.

It's a perfectly reasonable idea. I'm trying not to bring money into it because I suspect he'd refuse to sign the agreement if I did -- I wouldn't be heartbroken if that happened, but I would feel like I'd cheated Laurel out of quality time with her paternal side of the family.

I just want a baseline "if you f*ck up, Bad Things will happen" agreement that he's willing to agree to so Laurel can spend time with him but guarantee she'll be back in Evergreen in time for my sister's wedding (the reason why we're visiting Colorado this time).

Looks good.

Zap the G-parents address as this is a unlocked post.

I concur, and I also had to admit that it's a bit funny that you edited out names, but not the address (although, isn't that all available-like on yer site, anyway? Either way...). Anyway, though, even though I know squat about this sort of thing, it seems OK to me.

I actually edited out names because I thought it would be funny-looking to use real names for me and Laurel but [Himself] for Himself since he asked me not to use his name online outside of oddharmonic.org a few years ago.

Yes, that address is the one I use on contact pages in the castle.geek.net hierarchy. When I lived in North Carolina, mail sent there got to me faster than mail sent to my NC address.

I went for fairly straight boilerplate to leave as little as possible for questioning by him.

Thanks.

I left the address in because it's public knowledge (it's been my permanent address for over a decade and I've used it on my website's contact page for all but a year of the time I've had one), but I've edited it out to fit with the boilerplate for folks on my LJ Friends list to read.
