And for the record, those of us with ginormous floppy feet are forced to wear boot cut jeans because taper leg actually prevent our feet from sliding through. True story, I discovered this when I was 12.

Heh, I'm a size 10 in women's, so I sorta feel your pain. I can slide my foot through a taper leg, but it involves wriggling.

Oh, I forgot to mention that it's okay to tuck your jeans into your boots if (a) the boots are snow boots or galoshes and (c) there is ongoing precipitation and/or at least an inch and a half of snow on the ground.
