[The next day (after this), at Seventh Heaven, Sanji will get a nice little plate delivered early-on to the kitchen when the moment's right, covered with see-through plastic wrap. And Kotetsu hopes you'll accept it, because he worked into the night making his very best. Even ran to the grocery in the dead of the night; bell peppers were important for the texture of it!

There was a nice lady in a kimono who caught him just in time and took the plate, promising that the chef'll get it. That she'll let him know 'that one guy' is sorry about ruining his mood yesterday. And that he definitely needs to let him know if he did an okay job, later, since it's all he really knows how to make.

Which is all good enough for him.]

It might sound a little strange, but just wait until you taste it. [He's a chef. TRUST HIM. This dude has got it covered, and is fetching some brown sugar as they speak]

Not to much, obviously, but it'll balance out the soy sauce.

Naa, how do you make sauce out of things like mikans? I have a ton of 'em now, so I was thinking maybe it'd taste good as a sauce, y'know??

Nami-san's mikans are excellent for sauces~!! [Enthusiasm spike] And for most fruit sauces, all you really need is some heat until it's the shitty thickness you want. Add in some lemon juice or sugar, too.

I'm sure you could find a recipe at the library.

[While Kotetsu covers the rice, Sanji moves to the vegetables that need to be cleaned and cut for frying - green peppers, carrots, onions... He grabs whatever strikes his fancy, and raids the fridge/cupboards for further inspiration... hm, maybe some ginger and garlic will compliment the taste]

Ohh, right. I forgot there's a library... [Despite himself, there's a bloom of relief crossing his features as he cooks, stirring and working the pan as more ingredients went into it. Why he was so relieved? Well, it was probably obvious.

I can always use my friend as a taste-test guinea pig for the mikan sauce, anyway! He'll probably get annoyed at me, but I'll convince him.

He's my partner back home; duo, y'know? Like a team-up. At first I really hated it. He was a pretty smartass kid who always liked to irritate me. But I got used to it.

Granted... once we got popular we did a lot of stupid crap for the company, but it was still a blast!

Also, time to add seasoning! A dash of that, a sprinkle of this... Sanji possibly adds more spices than Kotetsu is used to seeing]

A King of Heroes is the Hero who makes the most points. Doing things like stopping crimes, saving civilians, making the arrest. Whoever does the best gets that title.
