[Why is Zoro walking by out here? ...Bah, anything is possible with the power of Lost. And once he picks up on that low humming, it doesn't take him long to spot you.]

[So, how does Zoro deal with emotionally exhausted cooks up in trees humming melancholic songs? ...Well.]

[This is a high-speed acorn beaning you in the forehead with pinpoint precision.]

Oi. Your voice sucks, shithead. You should shut up before birds start dropping dead.

[... He's dealt with at least five other people by this point. Some prying, some concerned. Some guys and some girls.

He appreciates their sentiments, truly, but he didn't come out here to deal with anyone. He came out here to think, by himself, and hum a few songs that remind him of home.

So the acorn is that straw on that camel's back. Sanji doesn't move from his spot, but there's iron laced in his words. The aura around the tree turns a shade above deadly.]

I'm not in the mood for your shit, Zoro. Go get lost somewhere else.

[Zoro's eyes narrow at the sharpening of the atmosphere, but he's otherwise unphased, aside from a subtle, automatic coiling through his shoulders. He doesn't make a move, either; there's an edged sense of waiting.]

...Cranky.

[That pause turns murderous. One clean movement later and Sanji is down from the tree, the tension painfully evident in his stance despite the ease he slips his hands in his pockets]

Can't hear, shit swordsman? I said not today.

[No physical reaction here as you drop down like a thrown knife, not even a straying of a hand toward a sword. Just dark eyes following.]

I can hear you. [Yeah, he can hear you, and see that you're deadly serious, and that you're wound so tight you look like you could snap yourself in half at any moment. So he waits a beat, then says, steadily] And I'm ignoring you.

[Something snaps.

And then he moves.

And if Zoro does not get out of his way, he will be pinned to a tree by an unforgiving foot]

[He does finally move, bending and shifting the bare minimum to let that strike whistle by, so close that he can feel the friction-heat on the skin of his arm. Face still focused and void of hesitation, he whips Wadou out of her sheath and sends her blunt edge scything toward Sanji's still-extended leg. If he doesn't do something, it will break his kneecap. Zoro won't go into this with less.]

[That leg is slammed down and to the side so fast it's a blur of a movement, out of immediate danger and leaving the sword to cut air that's still saturated by the strength by Sanji's fury.

He'll soon fill it with a series of kicks that are going for Zoro's torso, shoulders, groin, legs... a barrage of unholy fury he's been bottling up for the past day. He lashes out like he's trying to put a hole in a mountain.

Which, considering his opponent, is close enough. He just wants Zoro gone]

[Not going anywhere. Every one of those kicks is dodged, blocked or deflected with a counter near as vicious as the attack it turns back.

Nearly, because as deep as he throws himself into this rapid, furious exchange-

-roundhouse, knock it away savagely, spin-kick, too fast, twist, let it glance off, slash, blond strands separate and float off in the breeze, move in, jerk back as the cook flips down and the foot wheels up, back and forth-

-as wholly as he abandons himself to the fight, Zoro's tight rein and narrow focus never slip. Whatever the source-and Zoro doesn't really care about the source, not now-Sanji's rage is charging his every movement-and leaving holes in his form Sunny could sail through.

A snarl builds on his lips, and Wadou flashes past a wild overextension and slams into Sanji's chest with rib-cracking force.]

Fucking-sloppy, cook!

[That burst of pain would have woken him up any other instance, in any other fight. And by the shitty gods, if Zeff could see him today - he'd be kicked into next month for such terrible mistakes, openings that would lead to disowning. It's downright shameful, twice so because it had to be the shithead to witness it.

Right now? Sanji doesn't even register the splintering that explodes in his chest. It hurts and that's just fine, let it hurt. Without a pause a leg comes snapping around to sweep against Zoro's torso with the force of a freight-train as he snarls right back]

That sloppy enough for ya?!

[Zoro snaps his arm down even as the breath is forced explosively from his lungs and the blow's punishing momentum skids him back, and once more Wadou finds an opening that shouldn't be there, shearing past Sanji's ear to strike his collarbone with an ugly crack.]

More than.

[Stubborn, volatile shit-Zoro knows full well that won't keep Sanji down, either, and as long as he gets up Zoro will keep going. Throw everything you've got, cook, this wall isn't breaking.]

[Snap.

--Broken collarbone, some loss of motion of the right arm, fuckin bastard probably shattered the damn thing into pieces--

His face darkens to the color of a sea storm. Tch. Like he needs both arms to kick your ass.

And damn straight it won't keep him down. The fall that should come is stopped by his left arm, every muscle popping out with the strain that's keeping all his weight plus the force of his anger suspended in air. That his upper torso has become a spider's nest of broken pain barely registers -- Zoro is still in his way, and the motion of falling starts up an immediate momentum that turns into a tornado with a bit of spice to those hits.

Your fault. All your shitty fault. You brought this on himself and still don't even get it.]

Is some shitty time alone too much to ask for now?! [You damned--] I said get lost!

[Shuusui is out in a flash, heavy black blade joining Wadou in fending off the unbridled storm of kicks spinning up at him. His arms shudder and swords spark at the whirling impacts, but he sets himself against the strain and doesn't give an inch.

The first glimpse of a break in the lethal flurry sees him dart in instantly. He takes a glancing blow that lays open his cheek as he closes, but then blocks and stalls Sanji's deadly legs with 1-2-near-simultaneous strikes and ducks his shoulder for the split-second follow-up third that has Shuusui crashing into Sanji's side, launching him halfway across the clearing-and straight through several trees.

Zoro straightens from that, eyes blazing in a hard, set face.]

No.

[His white sword raises to point, unwavering.]

I won't. Get over it.

[Zoro's first answer is silence. Any wildlife around the area have quickly fled after that little display of destruction, and with good reason. It's not safe to be around this night.

It's only once the dirt settles that Sanji steps out of the wooden rubble and back into sight, overwhelming indignation frank on his expression -- and not because he's lost the feeling on the right side of his chest, or that he's freely bleeding over one of his favorite shirts, or that his performance in this fight has been less than superb.

Stupid, shitty--]

Alright. Won't listen, shithead? [He knows Zoro can hear him from this distance, maybe even pick up the irritated snarl covered by flatness.

Hands go into his pockets. Pain is pointedly locked away. Sanji marches straight into the nearby plains without so much as a backward glance, and he knows the shithead won't get lost for this. They're going to end this shit now.But not at expense of the forest; his second sea that keeps the ache of homesickness at bay. Heh. Strange that he can suddenly ( ... )
