I’m not an expert on the show Broadchurch at all, but I felt a lot while reading this story. How Alec kept thinking back on what he might have done to stop all this from happening, how there’s a double layer of betrayal by his wife professionally in the case and personally in their marriage… I noticed how none the things he was thinking that he could have done differently actually ended up being the tipping straw that his wife recited, and especially juxtaposed next to the line about him being the most observant detective was really great! It definitely makes me want to check the show itself out!
You should check out Broadchurch when you have the time. It's an impressive show. And thank you so much for reading something outside your fandom interests. xD
