Oh man Avenging Angel Batman! This was really great because I felt like I really got to know Sam in the process of the short entry, and the style was perfect for the piece. I wasn’t actually sure where Batman was going to come into the story, until you revealed it - I was totally thinking that somehow that priest had survived and Batman was going to come in and kick his butt! Anyway, I really enjoyed it!

Always Avenging Angel Bat. He's my favorite!

Thank you so much, again, for your kind comments. It's great to play with something I usually don't have time for!

Poor Sam. Despite him being a thief, you really sympathize with him here.

I like the build-up to the horror, how everything is nice and peaceful, and then suddenly Sam remembers why the church was abandoned and the terror begins to build for both him and the readers.

You really captured the dark side of Batman here. The readers are left wondering a bit whose actions were the worst and whether Batman was justified in playing up the horror stories. It's very intriguing. And I like the little line about him being both amazed and sickened by people's desire for gruesome scenes.

Again it was a case of trying to decide who exactly the victim is. Is it Sam? The priest? Certainly not the Bat... or is he a victim as well?

Thanks so much for reading!

Great job with this piece! I was definitely waiting for Batman to make his move, and once you said the bishop kept his face hidden in the shadows I had an inkling that it would be Batman. I really liked this piece because it illustrated some of the less action-y things that Batman does. After all, he can't be spending all of his time beating up bad guys.

The one thing about The Batman is that he is a thinking crime fighter. Yes, he has muscles and clever gizmos, but his brain is his most powerful weapon and no one knows more about fear than him.

Thanks so much for reading!
