Ah ha! Running about the forests, distinguishing physical features, claims of fantastical stories: all the hallmarks of an extraordinary person! Too bad Asato's father can't see that! (Obviously he hasn't read enough comic books ha ha) Great job with the origin story!

:: chuckles:: Thanks! Yeah, this is set just before the dawn of comic books and manga (which didn't really take off in Japan till the 1920s, with the advent of black and white cartoons imported from the States).

Awww, I feel so bad for Asato and his mother! However, greatness always comes in the face of adversity! I really enjoyed reading this origin story!

Ooh, this was great. Poor Asato that his father can't see his worth. Yet again, I also kinda see where he's coming from. Argh. Stupid knowledge of japanese customs and ways!
