I think I especially like the descriptions of how taxing it was to collect all the snow, getting hot and cold over and over. And the explanation of the uniform being in rags, because I definitely was puzzled as to why the uniform hadn't given away his country. ;) (Although I also wonder a bit why he hasn't been talking in German and giving it away that way....)
I noted a couple of minor typos, a comma for a period right at the beginning, and two different ways of saying the kitchen tap was frozen in the same sentence (ah, I've definitely had those typos happen before), but other than that, it looks fine to me! You must have patched things very well.
And that is one weird recurring dream. But at least you found you still had all those other words for your novel!

My theory is that he’s incoherent with fever, and that’s why she doesn’t realize he’s German. That makes sense, right? And I even figured out how to scoot around his name at first. He’ll be Maximilian, which is the German spelling, and she’ll only see M- or Max- or something and assume that it’s Maxilimien, which is the French spelling. I’m just trying to play as much off on assumption and misdirection as I can!
Anyway, yes, I had that dream Monday and Tuesday night, and it’s so weird because it’s a real comic book shop, and they have a promo spot in the Creepy Kofy Movie Time that I watch every Saturday night. I’m not sure how the two got mixed up, but I hope it doesn’t stick around!

Yep, if he's never actually said a distinguishable word, it makes sense! Ha, I love how you're playing with everything, including the name. ;)
Wow. Definitely weird. I have different dreams with recurring settings, but I've never actually had a recurring dream. I always wonder what causes those!
