Silent Hill 2

Got Silent Hill 2 pretty cheap today at GameStop. I don't know if any of you remember my history with the first one, and the strength of my imagination when playing games like this, but the first one basically made me shit myself over and over again. With Silent Hill 3 out now, I had to get this so I can eventually get 3

Silent Hill 2 isn't that scary, though I haven't had the chance to play the first before. It's strange, often people recommend movies to me like The Ring and so forth citing that they're scary, yet I see it and find it rather bland. I can say that this game has a killer soundtrack though, my favourite pieces being "Promise" and "Theme of Laura" though the other ones are pretty good as well.

A friend's been telling me to rent out Silent Hill 3 sometime, though they said to play the first one before doing so as there's a tighter link between the story.

I'm currently renting Silent hill 3 (never played the first two) and I'm enjoying it so far. I'm not too fond of the whole "Survivial horror" genre (I call it that because basically I have very limited ammo, which means I have to run most of the time) but I do like this game. I'm pretty confident around some of the creatures I have encountered as far as using melee weapons go, but some I just have to freaking run away from because I waste bullets on them.

I might try out the first two when I'm finished with this one.

Most people don't let any game bother them in the first place, my mind just "becomes one with the game" far too much for comfort.

I bought SH3 when it came out here (hehe.. before US even, nyaa nyaa)
played it for awhile.. and to be honest ^^;;
I wish it could have been more scary.. its pretty bland as well ._.
then again.. Im very hard to scare with graphic and music and sound effects =x

Hmm, i thought the first Silent Hill lacked the feeling of suspense. I don't know, i find Resident Evil to be a lot "scarier", myself. Haven't played the second SH, though.
