Long time no see

Am currently reading more John Le Carre, specifically The Looking Glass War and dealing with many bureaucratic jobs of an academic nature. Also occasionally lounging and rock climbing. There's a longish X-men First Class fic in the mill that hopefully I will be able to get out soon.

Good things, good things! Jelly of your ability to read things, I've forgotten what the printed words look like, I feel.

The dissonance between the lyrics and the melody+her vocal is kind of ridiculously amazing. This is one of those songs I could play in the background without having to actually listen to it, because processing the lyrics makes them a little ludicrous.

Yeah the strange thing is that though I've been seeing this song splashed around tumblr for ages someone posted it in regards to inception and Arthur/Eames (yes, I am ashamed thanks for asking) and while it def. makes the point-A to point-B connection to dreamshare and dying, it's not an exact fit for me. I'm just enjoying it--like you've said--in the background.

Le Carre is AMAZING. "The Looking Glass War" isn't as good as his later stuff, but Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy was probably the best book I've read this year so far. Also the NYTimes says it makes me a better citizen. How is life in the corporate world bb?
