They only did it to mess with Universal Studios Florida. Once they close down that section of Islands of Adventure they're going to liquidate the entire company.

Well, that'll depends, I think, on if the theme park license for the DC characters becomes available if Six Flags goes under.

As it stands, if the Marvel buyout goes through I don't think Disney will do anything to futz with the current license holders.
