One of the worst thing that happens while cleaning is that I find things. Things that I was looking for a while ago will appear now that I'm actually not looking for them. This past week, I found a pile of comics in my room. Even worse, I'm finding piles of comics in places I didn't even know I had comics. So now I have a gigantic pile of

You really begin to realize how large your collection is when you start bagging and boarding the issues you own, I know this personally.
I used to be much worse with video games, buying them soon after they came out and then in increasing cases not playing them as more time needed to be devoted to school or work or whatever. Sometime back around the PS2/Gamecube days I forced myself to wait for deals and sales before buying that new game I really wanted. And as time went on I came to discover a decreasing interest in buying the game as I waited for it to go down in price. It's not a cure but it has helped me save a lot of money from console and PC games... my comic book habit is still an issue and large ongoing expense in my life. I ever get that taken care of, I will probably find myself with a much much much larger amount of disposable income ^.^;;;

I'm... hoping to do that, at some point. It's probably too far-fetched at the moment, which is why it's not one of the six resolutions I listed for this year ^.^;;;

But yeah, I think I'm turning into a hoarder and it's really not good. It's why I'm trying to read a comic every day as one of my resolutions.

A few years back I had my comics organized pretty much up to that point. Once you get them bagged and such, it's not that difficult to get them in alphabetical order. Then it's not too difficult to write down what you own (or put it in an electronic database as the case may be). The longest process I've found is actually bagging them... it's quite tedious while alphabetizing them can be fun to glimpse through old stuff and finally realize how much of each story you actually own.
