I kind of felt about the split like I felt about my parents divorcing. It kind of had to happen. Sometimes I think Liam makes some seriously bad artistic decisions but the guy deserves a chance, and although the split gutted him he now has that chance, to take it and run.

However UNLIKE my parents, I hope the brothers really do get back together.

Noel won't really want Liam around until he's been gone awhile. When Liam stops worrying about what his brother thinks of him and gets his own shit well-established, I think Noel will pick up on his independence and feel benign enough to swallow his pride and at least speak to him. And this time around, Liam hopefully won't be so engrossed in trying to impress that he won't take criticism from him, justified or not as it may be, so harshly. This is his older brother after all. They tend to be assholes as a rule.

Even though they're estranged the fact that they're related puts them far ahead in the game already, so I'm really not too worried. :)

That's exactly what I hope for. Now Liam has the chance to do it for himself and care nothing about what Noel thinks. About the "artistic decisions", I was kind of shocked at first as well. But then I realise this may be what he wants to do for long. Besides, I'm already used to it.(the shortcut--set Bring The Light as your everyone alarm ringtone) I'll support him in any event.

Hopefully, Liam will become indepedent and they will talk to each other peacefully again. But the good times will never come back, right? I think Noel's love and passion to his brother shrank a lot in recent years. So even if they reunite, will it be the same?
