Lalala, I'll just leave you some comments here, because it's much easier than 50 tweets. ;)
So, first: Bwahaha, they all sound really weird. I think the best match is probably Nimueh. It would be impossible to find a match for a voice like ASH's though... Merlin sounds so much older! It's wrong. Arthur sounds nothing like Bradley, but at least it's somewhat fitting for the character.
It's funny how it's Arturo, but still Lady Morgana. Makes me fear the German version again though, please don't give us Artus! I think just from the movements of the mouth it's easier to dub it into German though...
That said, I still squeed a bit, just because I love the sound of Spanish, and IT'S ONLY BEEN A WEEK! I still can't cope...
Oh, it's always been Morgana in Spanish, so they couldn't change that. Though, I think they've kept Guinevere (in Spanish, "Ginebra" and yes, that also means gin, in case you're wondering) to make Gwen a more "logic" nickname.
Yes, probably Nimueh is the best match, but her Old English sounds wrong to me (less magical if that makes sense?). ASH's and Richard's voices are utterly wrong. Bradley's voice could be fitting, but it plays down the acting so much I don't like it (the way he says "Merlín" in Spanish has nothing to do with the way he says "Merlin" in English). I don't like Merlin's voice for the same reason (it destroys Colin's work, basically).
Hehee, if I had gone, I'm sure I wouldn't stop squeeing for a month!!
No, I meant the 'Lady' bit. And Lancelot is Lanzarote? ;P
I think that's a point where dubbing goes all weird, I mean, shouldn't it be some old form of Spanish really? And yes, I agree that it takes a lot from the actor's performances, but that's always the case because the voice is one of the actor's instruments. One point for why I think dubbing is wrong.
Oh, right! We tend to keep foreign titles "lady, lord, sire, etc". I don't know if they have translated his name (haven't watched that one), but yes, he should be "Lanzarote del Lago" :D
They do something weird, they keep changing from "Vos" (which is old Spanish here) to "tú" and I'd honestly gone with nowadays Spanish since they don't use "thou" in English. I think the translation is weirder than the dubbing, sometimes: squire (escudero) instead of manservant, foreign man (extranjero) instead of "tall dark stranger"...
One point for why I think dubbing is wrong. Exactly!
