A Catalan Nationalist I know produced a map of the Catalan lands, with the slogan "Let's join the map for an Own State for the Catalan Countries" - and right away, in that slogan, we can see the biggest problem for Catalan independence, the thing that will mean it is Scotland, not Catalonia, which will be the trail-blazer of the re-emerging

Do some organisations talk about solidarity with other independence movements? I'd be interested to read about that.

In a sense, doesn't the appearance that Scotland already has something close enough to independence hamper efforts to mobilise for it? It seems kinda like modern day feminist or environmental movements - it's more subtle and harder to explain than maybe what happened in the past.
