WHAT A SURPRISE THAT IT'S
I absolutely love Starscream in Prime. He's Starscream-y but also has a new, fresh attitude as well as look. He's a bit more competent, a bit more brooding and malicious. G1 Starscream seemed more like a bumbling git; sorry, I love Starscream in all incarnations, but let's face it. He wasn't really ever that frightening in the cartoon. Over time, he worked up to become more intimidating. TF:P!Starscream has that same snide, pompous attitude, as well as the cowardice, but he still feels quite a bit different from his original incarnation. And I love him, stupid, slimy, bitchy Starscream.
Also, I'm a bit more bias now after I've had the pleasure/honor of meeting Steve Blum, his voice actor. As I wrote in my Botcon 2011 report, he was very sweet and obliging, took time to speed-sign some autographs for friends. I gushed at him how I loved his take on the character and how he's really at the top of my fave list of Starscreams. He even spoke to me a couple times in Starscream's voice! It tickles the dark, bitter cockles of my heart.
