Supernatural: Jensen Ackles in Death Takes a Holiday

As good as it is to have our show back, I'm just feeling...stumped. At a loss for words. Uninspired, perhaps. I'm not really sure. Hopefully, I'll feel better about Death Takes a Holiday after I chat with my flist about it and rewatch it this weekend. I think part of the stumpiness might be that Dean seemed kinda 'tired'. He wasn't jumping to go on a hunt. He was obviously still upset with Sam for what happened in 'Sex and Violence'. He knows that Sam is lying to him. He seemed subdued and I think Jensen played it that way intentially. Funny moments aside, I think that Dean's been thinking about everything that's happened and the fact he admitted he would have wanted to go with Tessa says a lot.

I think that is part of what threw me - usually he's the one that is just raring to go and...he wasn't.

I think Jensen played it that way intentially.

Yeah, I think you're right. He did an excellent job.

I loved the whole scene with Dean basically telling Sam, I know what you are up to. But the scene that I loved the best was the fight scene with the boy ghost. A quick peek at carefree (as carefree as they can be) Sam and Dean. But Jensen's face right as they cut to commercial when he was first talkling to Tessa was OH SO HOT!!! Freckles!!!! And that close up of his lips when he kissed her! *thud*

Oh, the scene with the boy ghost had me cracking up when I was rewatching!! I loved it!

I'll have to rewatch to really find my favorite Jensen moment.

I loved all the scenes between Dean and Tessa. But the ones with Alistair were also great. I could feel Dean's hate for him. Jenses again did an amazing work.

OMG- how did I miss the freckles? *must go back and rewatch- again*

My favorite Jensen moment was when the kid disappeared and then reappeared on the other side of the room. Right then Dean just laughed and had this pure little boy look of joy on his face as he said "you gotta teach us that!". We get so little of that kind of pure happiness from Dean these days that it's great to see. :-)
