I'm writing this paper right now about the role of females in three books that I've had to read for my class, Frankenstein, Michael Kohlhaas, (both of which were written around the same time and therefore have similar value systems) and lastly Entering Fire by Rikki Ducornet, a book which is much more contemporary and was written by a Bard ( Read more... )

Welcome to the entirety of my academic life. Jules et Jim (not a feminist film!), follows the same formula and pissed me off to no end in Middlebury, when I couldn't express myself. And everyone around me kept talking about how it was the first feminist film. Unreal.

Rabbit, Run and Revolutionary Road both follow it as well, and both really irked me over the past month or so. I took it out on Nic Barajas, who got the brunt of my man-hating anger a few weeks ago.

You know, the funny thing is that I haven't actually gone down this path yet while at school. I was actually hoping to avoid it, but here I am!
