Oh city, why'd you do it? What'd you do that for?

So, my day began undressed and ended by annoying all of the people with laughter. And not being able to find the most recognizable building in New York City. And being owned by it. The gingerbread latte at Starbucks is good, but not worth the money. Just make some gingerbread cookies and eat them with tea or coffee or something. What is ( Read more... )

Before fourth grade, my answer was teacher, but in fourth grade I decided I wanted to be an environmentalist, even though I had no idea what that was. I said it because I liked animals. Once fifth grade hit, I was back to teacher. Also, a tidbit about my desire to be a teacher - at every grade level through ninth grade, I truly felt that that grade level was the one I would want to teach at if I became a teacher. After ninth grade, everything just shifted to 'older high schoolers'.

I probably would have said writer, singer, musician, etc: something creative and ridiculously difficult to do. And I wouldn't have noticed that it was ridiculously difficult. You?

You do realize that half of us still want to be something related to those three things, don't you?

I wanted to be a writer, and then I wanted to be one of those people at Sea World, or rather, a Marine Bioligist (even though I really didn't know what that meant). And then I wanted to be a singer/actress because I knew that's what everybody expected me to want. But mostly I actually wanted to be a writer, though you'd have never gotten me to admit it in a million years.

I enjoyed this entry. :D
(If I were Kevin Muller, it would get a 5/5. Ha. Ha ha.)
Anyway. I would have answered the same as I do now: Teacher. Always wanted to be one, except for a period of time where I didn't want to be one. And then I thought why the hell not, and here I am looking at Manhattanville.

PS-If you were a bag of luggage...

Astronaut, lawyer, writer.

In that order. It also happens to be alphabetical, but that was purely coincidental.

That's a very interesting combination.

One of the editors at the editing conference told us that her list was 'ballerina, lawyer, writer'.

We were both in NEw York on the same day. Not that that's highly unusual, it is a place to go.

Paleontologist from 2nd-6th, actress from 6th on out.
