Hi! I follow you on my old LJ. I can't remember the log-in, but it emails me when someone posts after a long absence.

The LJ people I know who kept personal blogs have moved them to Dreamwidth. Fic exchanges like Yuletide, etc, run on AO3 and use Dreamwidth for announcements now. Community activity and fandom discussion in general is very sparse on Dreamwidth compared to how it was on LJ, but there's an active anonymous community with many old LJ fans I can link you to if you email me: ash.seed@hotmail.com

Discord is the new version of IRC and instant messaging. Tumblr's active. Many people, especially fan artists, left Tumblr after the porn ban a few years ago and moved to Twitter. I personally don't do fandom on Twitter. It's wank central.

Thank you, that is very helpful. I think I will need to revive my dreamwidth account, I am sure I had one back in the day.

I'm on Dreamwidth and it can be either quite or active depending on the fandom. Most of fandom seem splintered across Twitter, Discord and Tumblr in the last few years.
