Thinking hard about the whale watch, I have decided not to take the baby. I think I am just going to take my manual pump and pump enough for comfort. Since I will have Saturday and Sunday to pump a supply for her for Monday, I think I can make this work. You might see a bit of a decrease, but it should not be irreversable. It is probably good that you'll have Saturday and Sunday to be with her and pump lots. If you know if there's any foods that your milk supply responds to, you could try eating those too. (barley, oatmeal, fenugrek, fennel, etc. There's no proof those work, but some women swear by them.)

But you won't necessarily see any decrease. Hopefully you won't. Probably. But if you do, it shouldn't be irreversible.
