as i was browsing the book section of Target for gifts for my sister, i happened upon the following titles in the "young adult" section: The Feelings Book, The Moon, My Butt, and Other Big Round Things, and The Grapes of Math.

shopping today was brief and painless!

You should get your sister the Mabinogion. It's old Welsh myths. If that's not too nerdy, you could also look into the Prose Edda, by Snorri Stulsson; if it is too nerdy, then you should probably look for Piers Anthony books that aren't about Xanth (the series beginning with On a Pale Horse and the series beginning with Split Infinity were both very entertaining, but you should see if she's read them yet).
