Character Name: Kaydee. This is an off-shoot of Katie, which, obviously, is a nickname for her given name of Katelyn.
Brief background of character: Until she was almost 17, she went by the nickname of Katie, but when both her parents were killed in the attacks on 9/11, she dropped her last name and changed her name to Kaydee. To her, Katie is dead, too.
Her dad was a highly respected NYPD detective working out of Manhattan Homicide. He would commute from Brooklyn every day and this allowed him to spend most nights at a bar near their home in Canarsie. He was an alcoholic and very emotionally abusive towards Kaydee.
Her mother was a secretary who worked on the 87th floor in the North Tower at the WTC. She was oblivious to the abuse her husband inflicted upon their daughter and turned a blind eye to it rather than get involved, let it continue.
Kaydee is an only child and when her parents were killed, she left home and moved in with her best friend. She graduated high school in the top 20% and applied to NYU where she was accepted, but elected not to go. She formed the band Stack of Puppies when she was 21, which is where she met her boyfriend Tristan Davis.
What Kaydee doesn't know, but is slowly learning, is that she is half-Fae. She was dropped on the steps of an FDNY station and then eventually adopted by her parents. Her birth mother, Madelyn, was of the Summer Court. Her father, Jake, was human.
Character's position or job: Lead vocal for her band
Strengths/Skills: She's very independent and relies completely on herself. She has very strong self-esteem.
Are these skills typical of the fandom? If not, why?: She's pretty ordinary as far as skills go. She doesn't have any fae powers, or at least not to my knowledge yet.
Weaknesses/Bad habits: She can be abrasive and arrogant.
Distinctive features, if any: Her PB is Audrey Kitching, so she has pink hair, a couple piercings, and a couple beauty marks.
Are these features unique in the fandom? If so, why?: No.
Connections to canon characters (if any): N/A
How does your character get on with those around him/her?: Pretty well. She's mostly friendly, but it really depends on who she's talking to. She's an RP character, so her interactions are partially based on the other character involved.
