Ha, that's awesome! I'm stupidly amused that somebody else other than me found this interesting. :D (I'm a medievalist in the middle of her doctorate, making a living teaching Anglo-Saxon to first year undergraduates, so.)

Just stumbled across this fic and commend and... I hope you have no objections to random friending. :P Being a mediaevalist and having just finished my masters is pretty much entirely the impetus behind the (150k-word) gabriel big bang I'm due to post on the 16th. I kind of suspected when I saw the non Angli sed angeli line - that is kind of an in-joke. :P

(I may have Gabriel and Thomas Bradwardine discussing Aquinas and Bonaventura's theories of the relationship of the angelic to the divine at one point. Partly in Latin. With some random middle english for good measure.)

I rarely move far back to have to tackle Old English, but I was pleased to find I didn't need to scroll down to work out what Jensen was saying! :)

This was amazing!! I love how you managed to capture the whole scene so perfectly. I'm just about to start my honours in Medieval history so when ever I see things like this, it makes me squeal in happiness.

I would love to do what you have done but I am always a little afraid of not doing the History justice when writing. Wonderful wonderful story, I'm off to go see your others!!

After reading your author's notes at the beginning, I didn't really focus on the p0rn *shame* but more on Jared's thought process and I have to say, I seriously loved the ending (last 3 paragraphs) and the fact that you used Latin and all the other realisitic details. So I'm glad you decided to share this and after all, like you said, you never know when you'll need your Pope porn lol :)
