Oh my... the akwardness... it usually happens and sometimes it never really goes away.. :S

he relentlessly continued to tell John that they were best friends, always would be; how much John meant to Paul. Comments like "Fuck Stuart Cuntcliffe," peppered the conversation at regular intervals. haha... I loved the Cuntcliffe thing! :D ( ... )

Oh reading fic at work is a wonderful guilty pleasure! :D I'm glad to see that this fic is apparently worth it. :)

Do you know by any chance where Paul said that? I'd really love to read the interview. :)

And thanks a lot for reading. ♥

To be very honest, no. I read it somewhere a long time ago, but I can't even remember if the quote was sourced. I'll try to find it again. It's possible that this is one of those quotes that just can't be sourced... :/

I'm actually fairly sure this was not something Paul said about himself, but something Maureen Cleave said about Paul. I could be wrong.

Aww I feel like in most fics Paul is the one taking care of John, but seriously nurturing John is the absolute cutest omg! Both of you are great writers, it flows so naturally and is really in character and not embarrassing or weird at all to read. And I know your first language isn't English so it's extremely impressive! (Btw what is up with Germans writing so much better than native English speakers??)

Update soon because I am living off this fic ♥♥♥

Thanks for the lovely comment. :) I'm actually the only German one here, obstinatrix is English. :)

Whenever they passed a couple in the street in the act of holding hands or sneaking a kiss, Paul loudly declared that John was his. John wasn't sure what he might have meant at that point. Eventually, he hissed at Paul to shut up, but Paul only looked back at him with his big doe eyes and a stupid grin.

This is hilarious. Would that it was true!!

And of course the next morning inevitably comes ... and they both pretend nothing happened. Ha.

People here keep mentioning the "three drinks and I'm anyone's" quote that Paul is supposed to have said (a quote that always makes me smile). But I've never actually found a source for that quote. Who did Paul say that to? When? What interview? It's another one of those Beatles quotes (like the unpleasant remark that John is supposed to have said about Ringo not even being the best drummer in the Beatles) that people repeat but no one seems to know where it came from. I'd love to know the original source if anyone knows it!

Thank you! :) I'd also like to know when Paul said that because it is a very interesting thing of him to say, haha! :D

Over a year later, but this is what I have, re: Paul's quote:

"Favourite Drink: If I could only choose one drink it would have to be water. When I’m a bit hung over that’s all I can take. But I still like a Scotch and Coke. I can’t overdo it any more. Four’s my maximum, four and I’m anybody’s."
