Haven't seen any fics with that, though its been discussed as a theory quite a bit. Would love to read it!

I've seen a lot of the theory discussion! I don't think it's anywhere Show is deliberately trying to go, although I would love it if they did, but it's a fascinating premise. If there is any fic on the subject I'd love to read it.

I saw that post! I went away and thought about it for a couple of days and then decided there should be fic about it, but sadly I haven't been able to find any. Maybe I will write some. :)

Can she please be a figment of his imagination? I don't like her. I just don't like her attitude or personality or how mean she is to Sam.

I'm not a fan of her either, which is a shame because I really sort of wanted to ship them. One could do interesting things with the fact that this is the sort of character Sam's subconscious would create for him.

I quite like Amelia, though some of the writing of her, notably the disaster of 8.1, has not been subtle or graceful.

But it has just occurred to me that this tale of two war widows falling into a relationship might read better if it were femmeslash.

I do believe I've seen a few at ohsam, especially at the comment-fic meme. Can't speak to length or quality, as I haven't read them. (I am a bad fangirl) I like the idea that she's a figment of Sam's imagination, though, and keep meaning to maybe write something along those lines.

Oh, thank you! Excellent! Off I go to investigate. :) (And if you were to write something similar, I would eat it with a spoon, jsyk.)

Hee! If only my writing mojo were to return reliably... It's interesting to think about why Sam's subconscious would make up a bossy, broken woman who doesn't actually treat him very nicely and more as a distracting lay than anything else.

Absolutely. Like, if Sam actually could not cope mentally any more, and his brain created a character just to keep itself going, why this person? It's somehow typically Sam.

I am in love with this idea. I've seen it mentioned, but haven't seen fanfic for it. It would also nicely get around the problem that hardly anyone in fandom seems to actually like Amelia, and would be super sad for Sam to realise that she doesn't in fact exist, and was just a way of him dealing with the loss of Dean, and, well, dealing with the loss of everyone.
