Day 14: The Kanan Reboot

Okay. So this is another idea that's been floating around in my head for a while, and it started to coalesce while I was in the shower this morning. (I was so worried I'd lose the details before I got into a towel and sat at the computer!) It's the Kanan reboot, wherein it is not Hakkai Gojyo finds, but Kanan. I have read all the bits of this, very cool! I like how much more strained and painful their interactions are than they were with Gonou and Gojyo. I (as usual, because Gojyo-angst is one of my favorite things >_>) like how he's being driven crazy by the swirling undercurrents around Kanan, which he feels but doesn't (yet) understand or comprehend. Interesting because Gonou had pretty much come to the place where he felt he could or even wanted confide in Gojyo (even if it was because he was going to go on a suicide mission and didn't care). Kanan seems more reticent, and I think that is quite realistic given her own story.

Strained relationship is strained! I was actually kind of surprised how difficult things ended up between them, and I'm still trying to get them to a point of less tension. Thanks for reading!
