Happy Birthday To OI!

As some of you may know, OI had a birthday in the beginning of May, marking its seven year existence. Isn't that crazy? OI has been around for seven years! That means I've been addicted to getting comments for nearly half my life. Madness

My own graphics community juicy_grapes would have turned 7 in Sept., but unfortunately it's died down so I'm closing it soon to merge with another graphics community. But still...yay, right? :D

OI is one of my go-to mellowing sites - all the pretty icons are so soothing. Also, always one of the first things I suggest whenever someone says she wants some non-fandom icons.

I picked 2008, although when I started thinking about it, the correct answer would've been 2006 instead. Oh well.

Also, are you really saying you're 14 years old and started iconing at 7, or are my non-native English skills confusing me? :)

Heehee, that's where the "nearly" comes in - I'm 20, I started iconing at 13. :)

And, I think, it is also a lot less disturbing, since I think you would have been a creapily talented icon-maker kid had you been 7 when you started.. :)

And, of course, big grats on 7 years of OI, you guys have been and are awesome!
(Come to think of it, your icons are probably the biggest reason I keep paying for my paid account.. I don't want to lose my icons!)

I've been a here for a while now- either 2004 or 2005 if I remember correctly, and I've always loved the different icons you guys have put out. They've been classy, simple, beautiful and absolutely enchanting. Whenever I feel like I need a new icon, I can usually find one here that I absolutely love- and I'm picky as hell. I don't tend to like a lot of the trash out there they call icons nowadays where it looks like they did nothing more than take a screencap, adjust the contrast so everything looks washed out and then add a sunspot and call it an icon...

You guys here on OI, however? You've rocked my fuzzy little socks for as long as you've been around. And I'm grateful for it.

I'm just guessing, but it was one of the first icon communities I joined. I've been around LJ since 2003... but it was a year or two until I started paying attention to icons. Actually , it was probably 2005, not 2006, now that I think about it...
