I would have trouble picturing her as the passive, longing wife too LOL, but I guess it's because I never really viewed Penelope that way either. She was left on her own in a patriarchal society, raising her son alone, and plagued by suitors (with no manners at all XD). I actually thought that she was pretty clever and independent in her own way, though she is placed as one of the most faithful/loyal figures in mythology.

Anyway, I'm glad it worked for you! *hugs*

this was nice. but sad.

but i love that he helped her build the cabin ... and that they had at least some time together before they were 'ripped' apart. :)

Thanks, and I have to admit, I probably wasn't in a very happy mood when writing it. (^_^) But the idea popped up and wouldn't leave, and I was considering studying for my Latin make-up final.

I like this very much. Very clever invocation of The Odyssey. And I like your ending, with Laura unweaving the fabric. Wonderful imagery. Of course it would be a beyond enormous project, but it would also be interesting to read Bill's Odyssey.

Thank you! :) I love mythology. *hugs*... And I don't think I'm quite up to an attempt on that. (^_^)"

Yeah, it was rather a demanding suggestion. LOL! But that's what someday is for, right? :-)

Thanks! I'm glad the integration worked and wasn't TOO awkward though I admit that I only took the very general arcs from the story line of the original myth.

Thank you! I'd like to think that sadness begets happiness eventually.
