This vid is made of awesome and I am downloading so I can watch it FOREVER. Also I cannot wait to get hold of the series so I can come back and watch the vid some more and really dig into what you've done here.
Hee, thank you! And omg you totally, totally need to watch it because it's Shakespeare with, as you noted, Hiddleston and Irons AND Hurt AND Stewart wut wut! It is totally awesome. XD
From when I saw the first trailers on BBC I soooo new you'd vid this! And you did this beautiful footage absolute justice - this vid flows like it was just filmed for this vid and the editing is stunningly beautiful. There was no way that this did not turn out to be your vid.
Aren't they just? Although now with the David Tennant Richard II announcement, I am torn. Do I want it to be better than the Ben Whishaw production? Oh man, divided loyalties.
Oh I know exactly what you mean. DT was a perfect fit as Hamlet but I don't see that quite as much for Richard II, but I'm hoping he would surprise us all. Can't wait to see it!
What a Shakespeare feast you've had! (Albeit a bit on the epic/sad side?! Comedies, represent! :D ) I went to the Shakespeare exhibition too and agree it was AWESOME. The St Crispin's speech gets me every time. (And also Mark Antony's every speech in Julius Caesar, but let's stop me here before I talk forever.) Heee! I am just thrilled that you liked the vid.
The Falstaff book is great. Makes you see everything in a different light. Simon Russell Beale played him with quite a sad undercurrent anyway, so it kinda adds up against The Hollow Crown. Sort of. If you squint. :D
