If for nothing else, I love your vids for introducing me to awesome music. :D
But this has far more going for it than a great song. Wonderful rhythm and movement, and it's awesome how you got everything to circle back around to Ned's beheading while maintaining an effortless flow.
Hehe, that is very cool to hear. I like my music taste so it's vindicating to hear someone else does too. ;) And thank you! I'm so glad that you enjoyed the vid.
I have never seen the show or read the books (I will eventually...I'm just putting it off because I am like 99% sure they are going to break my heart into little pieces), but even without that context, this vid was stunning and interesting and followable. I loved the repeated bird/Stark (Stark? Sean Bean, anyway) imagery, in particular. There's also this fantastic sense of inevitability the whole way through - from the very beginning, the song and the vid are moving toward that last image of the dripping axe, and it hurts but it feels like it couldn't have happened any other way.
I'm so glad that you liked the vid and to hear that you could follow the emotional trajectory without context, thank you! (Although sad that you were spoiled for the execution because that was a huge Oh Shit They Did Whut moment in the show and in the books.) I really recommend both; they're huge and sprawling and wonderful.

Great vid. And lots of wolves is always a good thing. :)
Hope I'll remember to come back and watch again once I am done reading the books to see if I'll get the things you are hinting at.
