Once was a man who consumed his place and time
He thought nothing could touch him
But here and now it's a different storyline
Like the straw he is clutching

Why has the sky turned grey
Hard to my face and cold on my shoulder
And why has my life gone astray
Scarred by disgrace, I know that it's over

Because I'm falling down
With people standing round
But before I hit the ground
Is there time, could I find someone out there to help me?

Howl at the wind rushing past my lonely head
Caught inside in slow motion
How I wish it was somebody else instead
Howling at all this corrosion

Why did the luck run dry
Laugh in my face, so pleased to desert me
Why do the cruel barbs fly?
Now when disgrace can no longer hurt me

You see I'm falling down
With people standing round
But before I hit the ground
Is there time, could I find someone out there to help me?

I don't know why

littleheaven70 wanted an Angel character vid to this song. The idea very quickly developed into one where he tries to find salvation with the help of his friends, but his quest mostly just ends up with them paying with their lives.

The thing that gave us most difficulty in storyboarding was the way that events from AtS s3 - s5, not to mention most of the gang, are crammed into the last third whereas the Buffy and Darla sections get much more room to breathe. Although on reflection, the Buffy and Darla sections are not so much about BtVS s1 - s3 and AtS s2 as they are about Angel's 200+ years of history. So I suppose that does make sense on the overall story chronology, even if it does seem bottom-heavy when you approach it from an events-on-the-show perspective.

Rewatching s2 - s4 also gave me a renewed appreciation of how the rampant years with Darla led onto Holtz stealing Connor which led to the whole Oedipal thing. It's just one huge tragic chain of events. But that's the Tro-Clan for you, I guess.
