In my pathetic case motivation=shallow when it comes to shipping vids, so I can't really offer advice...
But I'm curious, what do you mean how it would come across?

I'm using some external images that's pretty opaque. I understand what it's supposed to mean, but I don't think anyone else could. And normally this is the stage where I get a few betas and hammer away at the vid until the theme becomes apparent to everybody, but this time it's complicated because the theme is actually about knowing what a thing wants to be without needing external referents to tell you what it is, so it would kind of defy the whole message if I went about it my normal way. I know it sounds completely wanky and weird. Suffice to say everything about this vid is tied up to the messages in a book I'm reading at the moment, and I'm committed to this vid in a way that I don't think I've been committed to a vid before. Which is good, but also strange.

You know, I once swore I would never make an SPN vid because everything that can be said in vid has already been said. But then Castiel came along. :D

Castiel is the only reason I might start watching SPN. I'm not sure why that is, but there you go.

So suffice to say I'm looking forward to the vid. Brad has been hyping it up like whoa. :D

Hyping = massive bad, as you know. ;) Castiel is indeed a good reason to start watching SPN. There's nothing to stop you from starting at season 4, I personally think.
