Two very good short vids to have come out in the last 24 hours. Go watch.

Persona by shati, Heroes, Bob the Haitian.
Powerful, understated vid. Amazing emotional resonance, offset by fantastic musicality. This is going into my Heroes keepers folder. (Just for the record, there are currently five other vids in that folder, and I've seen a lot of Heroes

*points* Yes! Totally! Also, both This Is Everything and End of the World News were posted right after I had gone 'man, I wish there were more Torchwood videos out there, I think I've watched all the good ones', which makes me feel like I have some kind of awesome vid-generating superpower. (Did you see End of the World? Tom McRae song! Fatalistic 'we might as well have sex because we're bad at saving the world' narrative! Torchwood vids always remind me about what an insanely inappropriate team leader Jack is. Every other sci-fi fandom is bending over backwards trying to reconcile fraternizing/chain of command issues, and Torchwood is just like 'Oh no, it's the end of the world, what should we do?' 'Let's all have sex', canonically.)

I think I've downloaded End of the World News, but not sure if I watched it yet. I will dig through my folder when I get home. And, hee, it's so true what you said about Torchwood. Which is why that show is the good crack, naturally.

It's been a long time since I've seen a vid recced as much as shati's in such a short time. I'm currently in my vid-watching hiatus for all things non-judge-related, but I might have to make an exception for this one.

Congrats about NDF! Lord knows it needs more recognition. It's criminally underappreciated.

Heh, I didn't know about the awards until someone from the site emailed and said "you're nominated at the Gallifrey awards!" and they didn't give a link or anything, so I had to email back and ask "the what?" :D
